Laclane

Laclane is a beautifully restored stone house with pigeonnier set in the rolling countryside near the village of Marsac in the Tarn et Garonne. Nearby you will find boulangeries, pharmacy, supermarket and a post office. There is tennis within 5km and a swimming pool is 10km away. A mini bus for nine passengers is available at Laclane for collections from Toulouse our nearest airport which is one and a half miles away or for local excursions.

The property has been beautifully restored by the present owners and many of the original features have survived. The house and pigeonnier have stone walls and oak beams and are fully equipped for eight people. On the ground floor there is a separate toilet. The kitchen/diner has an electric oven, Microwave oven, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a dining table and chairs equipped for eight. There is a T.V. and comfortable seating area in the Lounge. On the first floor of the Pigeonnier there are two bedrooms, one with a double and two single beds and one with two single beds. A shower room with shower and toilet. On the second floor of the Pigeonnier is a third bedroom with a double bed and en-suite shower room. There is central heating for our winter visitors. There are also cots and baby equipment available. Outside on the terrace there is ample garden furniture and a barbecue etc. The grounds and gardens are open to our guests and there is a children's play area and lots of parking space. A baby sitting service is available as is a mini bus for nine passengers which we are willing to use for collections from Toulouse our nearest airport and trips to some of the wonderful tourist attractions this region has to offer. Local Facilities/Places of Interest

The area offers many activities. For cycling enthusiasts the country roads are on the whole traffic free and the local forests can offer more adventurous cycling Cycle hire is available nearby. There is also canoeing, horse riding and golf within easy reach. Visit the permanent art exhibitions of Ingre in Montaubon and Marcel Lenoir in Montricoux. There are also many other artists whose galleries are situated in the locality. Picturesque and historical local villages and towns are within easy walking distance for those who like to ramble along country lanes. The wine growing areas of Gaillac Cahors and de Quercy are within easy reach. Visit the vineyards individually to taste and buy for drinking whilst on holiday or taking home to lay down for a future occasion. For those who enjoy shopping the local markets which are very much a part of French life are held each day of the week in different towns and villages in the area. They are very colourful and sell everything from local cheeses to hand made leather belts.
