EU citizens do not require a visa to visit France.

US citizens do not need a visa to visit France if they intend to stay less than 90 days. They simply require a valid passport. Visitors from the US wishing to stay longer than 90 days must apply for long stay visas to France at the appropriate French embassy before they travel. For long stay visas for France a passport valid for at least 3 months after the last day of stay is required.
