The Averyon valley in the South West of France is a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty and is in easy reach of the Cevennes, Aubrac and Lot valley, with their superb mountain, river and gorge scenery and excellent fauna and flora - ideal for exploring on foot, by horse or bicycle, or by car. By road the Pyrenean mountains are 2.5 hours, the Mediterranean is 3.5 hours and Barcelona is 5 hours. The house is set in a peaceful rural location near to the beautiful medieaval town of Najac but in a secluded position with wonderful views.

The house is a small farmhouse with pigeonnier which has been tastefully renovated retaining many original features. It is set in a peaceful and secluded location with 5 acres of grounds consisting of woods, meadow, pond and stream. A great variety of wildlife can be seen including deer, red squirrels, pine martins, buzzards, hoopoes, golden oriels, green and common lizards, salamanders and frogs. The house sleeps six people with 3 double bedrooms and two bathrooms. It has a 25 metre swimming pool with marvellous views of the surrounding countryside. The property includes a large terrace with barbecue area and stunning views.

Najac with its magical 12th Century castle, is an enchanting medieaval partly arcaded village with gocerey and vegetable shops, boulangerie, 3 cafes and a number of good resturants. Weekly markets take place in summer and meat and fish vans visit regularly. Najac is situated next to the Aveyron river and canoes are available for hire. St Antonin Noble Val and the bastide towns of Cordes and Villefranche de Rouergue are nearby with their traditional markets and wonderful architecture. Albi with its splendid cathedral, Toulouse-Lautrec museum and excellent shops and resturants is 45 miniutes away.
