We look forward to welcoming you to this character 3 bedroom cottage set in the quiet hamlet of Coet Mean, just 3 miles from the picturesque market town of Josselin in central Brittany on the banks of the River Oust on the Nantes-Brest Canal. This recently restored cottage has a bright and cheerful interior, sleeps 6 and is fully equipped to a high standard, with ample parking space. In the town of Josselin the visitor will find a good range of shops which cater for all normal requirements and a Tourist Information Office. We recommend visitors have the use of a car to explore the area and travel to and from their arrival point. There are nearby connections by both sea and air, with the nearest airports being Dinard and Rennes. The port of St. Malo is about one and a half hours drive enabling easy access from Portsmouth and the Channel Islands, Caen about three hours drive away and Cherbourg and Roscoff approximately four hours drive.

The cottage sleeps 6 and is fully equipped to a high standard with ample parking space. The lounge has a tiled floor with rugs, Chesterfield Sofas and armchairs. There is a television and video (tapes only) and radio/record/cassette-player. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, fridge freezer, washing-machine and microwave oven. There is a breakfast bar, table and chairs. For winter there is a wood-burning stove (logs are extra).There are three bedrooms, one double, one twin room and one bunk-bedded room. All are carpeted and have hanging-space and bedside-table lamps. Pillows, duvets and bed linen are provided, but we would ask that you bring your own tea-towels and towels. The shower room has toilet and hand-basin.The patio leads from the lounge onto a landscaped garden which is equipped with barbeque and garden furniture for enjoying the sun and alfresco dining. Toys and games are provided for the children and there is a small selection of bicycles available for hire at a modest charge.

Places of Interest

It is a good base for touring the beautiful surrounding countryside of Brittany with its historic chateaux, small artisan villages with their picturesque buildings, crafts shops and eating places where you can sample local delicacies and drinks. In less than 30 minutes you can reach Vannes on the Gulf of Morbihan and its beautiful coastline where there are many safe beaches to enjoy and where the energetic can partake in watersports. There are lakes and fishing locally and picnic areas for those who enjoy the quiet country life.
